So here we are, in this beautiful place, in the middle of the desert, surrounded by this gorgeous sky lit by the moon like a huge light from the universe and we had no idea what would happen tomorrow and if we can even leave Africa and go back home.

BEING AT PEACE IN ANY SITUATION IS YOUR GREATEST STRENGTH

Our last night in the desert, even with all the flight cancellations and corona virus news, none of us panicked, nor had bad mood, we all enjoyed the present moment by the powerful fire with the drum music which vibration made us relax. Being at peace in any situation is the greatest strength you can have.

PLAN B: WE START A COMMUNE IN AKKAL 🙂

We even laughed and came up with the most fabulous plan B in case we could not go back: Since we own the new house Akkal, that we have here half ready to be used, we imagined, we would spend our days practicing yoga with Dana and learning even more about Feng Shui from Steffi from Prakkasha. Our friends with the car would bring us some food from the next town from time to time and we would cook for all and spend our time finishing building the house and enjoying the peaceful desert. At the end what else do you need to be happy if not peace and happiness?

STEP BY STEP, ALWAYS

The next day during breakfast the next news: Spain will close its borders due to the corona virus outbreak. Ok, lets rethink and regroup: we booked any still available flight to France, at least to be able to get out of Africa and go from there, step by step.

LETS GET THIS NEXT ADVENTURE STARTED

Now we were ready to go on our “as planned” road trip back to city life and our last destination in Morocco on this magnificent yoga trip: Fez. After 7 hours super fun drive along the beautiful Palm Ziz Valley, tiny colorful towns, crossing the mighty Atlas Mountains, the precious green cedar forest with its monkeys and enjoying all the stunning landscapes this country has to offer, we arrived in my favorite place in Fez: Riad Yamanda.

The ladies enjoyed themselves having massages and hammam (hammam is the typical morrocan bath; definitely the best you can give yourself after the desert: you get cleaned as a baby with all delicious natural soaps, shampoos and creams). Me: I love enjoying the spectacular view from the terrace over the entire Fez Medina and chilling with a glass of wine before going back to our routine back home.

OUR LAST OPTION TO GET TO EUROPE: A BOAT

But this time there was not much chilling (but at least the glass of wine tasted as good as usual), as the next news hit us: our flight to France has also been canceled and the King will close the Moroccan boarders, immediately. Wow, now it gets really serious. 8:00pm we are hungry but relaxed. Ok, lets elaborate new plan, step by step, again.

Given that the flights where all canceled, our only option was to take taxi to the Spanish City in “Morocco”- Ceuta (yes, there are two Spanish cities still in Africa, in the middle of the Moroccan ground: Ceuta and Melilla) and from there with a boat to Algeciras in Spain on the European continent.

A BOAT: the last thing on earth that I’m still not comfortable with (I had some scary adventures in the past, maybe soon you can read more about those in my “Transformation story” ;)) and I’m still working on those emotions (maybe that’s why I love desert so much!), I’m shaking but: Aman Iman = Water is life: my mantra for now (And also a title of one of great the albums by TINARIWEN, a Touareg Band from the northern Mali).

“THE LAST SUPPER”

Lets take off, right now, better sooner than later. We enjoyed our delicious last dinner in Fez at Riad Yamanda, which really felt like “THE LAST SUPPER” and we took a taxi at midnight from Fez and left for Ceuta.

Not sleeping, with loud prayers music and the window open for fresh freezing air for the driver, after 5 more hours we arrived at the boarder to Ceuta, around 5am. Luckily we bought boat tickets while driving, instead of sleeping (having internet was soooo crucial on this entire trip and I would always recommend to buy a sim card when you arrive in Morocco: let me know if you need more info on that topic), because without showing the tickets, you can not come close to the boarder, apparently at least not now…

SOUL OF THE UNIVERSE WITH A PASSPORT

Trying to cross the border to the little piece of Spain in Africa and get to the boat in order to cross the sea, we encountered problems, since only “European” citizens were allowed to leave Morocco! Not Mexicans, not Argentinians and not Andorran’s (even though Andorra is in Europe, but some don’t even know that country exists). Each of us has a different nationality and passport, we are multi culti, always! “Universe soul + Polish heart + German passport”. Well, it was obvious for me I was not leaving the continent leaving one of us behind, alone. After letting the universe decide, using all of the energy that we still had after 20 hours on the road and maybe a little bit help of our nice driver, we were able to cross to Spain, take another taxi and get on the first boat at 9.30am to cross THE WATER.

UNIVERSE ALWAYS HAS YOUR BACK

Since our strategy was to go step by step from the very beginning and not thinking as much about the destination yet, since the road was long and many surprises may still happen, only once we were on the boat to Europe, we booked a car online, in order to go from the very south of Spain to Barcelona, which were still some 1100 km.

And yes, after 35 hours on the road (+ water ;)), from Sahara desert in the south of Morocco, to Barcelona in Spain, after many canceled flights, more expenses, more hours traveling, less sleep, some drama but with great attitude and gratefulness for every second of this entire Trip and all the unplanned surprises, we have reached THE DESTINATION. Once again it was clear to me: “Universe always has your back”.

Why did it go so smooth in all the crazy and unpredictable situations from the very beginning until the very end of this beautiful Yoga/Feng Shui – Retreat: THE HIGH VIBRATIONS + We have enjoyed EVERY SECOND of every moment with so much joy! + Real, authentic, humble, what you see is what you get. + None of us had any EGO to satisfy, no plans, no one to please, just living the present moment and enjoying ourselves. And we have learned SOOO much in every aspect. Life proved to be magical, as usual! GRATEFUL for everything and everyone on this special trip. THANK YOU ladies for trusting me and I thank myself for being myself.
